About Us


The Department of Computer Science at UB was founded in 1992 and currently offers four degree programs, namely, BSc in Computer Science, BIS in Computer Information Systems, BSC Computing and Finance, Master of Science in Computer Science, and Master of Science in Computer Information Systems and PHD.

The Department has approximately 300 undergraduate students and 20 postgraduate students. The department also offers basic computing and information skills courses to all faculties of the University.

The Department of Computer Science is based in Building 232 and 247 where it has extensive computing facilities that are continuously upgraded. There are a total of close to 20 laboratories with more than 500 PCs for both teaching and research. Two laboratories host a total of 70 Linux® workstations.
