The Careers and Counselling Centre was established by the university on the 7th January, 1993, first as a Counselling Unit following the Jarvis report of 1990, which recommended the need for such a Centre. The Centre was expanded in 1995 with more recognition given to career services hence the name became Careers and Counselling Centre.The centre was further expanded in 2010 with the birth of the Job Placement Unit to cater for the growing need for graduate employability and the University Employability Strategy. The Centre now comprises three (3) units namely; Careers, Counselling and Job Placement. The centre provides services to students, staff and staff dependents.
